22nd National Agriculture Fair( Chichiri Trade Fair Grounds Blantyre)
The Cannabis Regulatory Authority (CRA) is participating in the 22nd National Agriculture Fair at the Chichiri Trade Fair Grounds in Blantyre.
The Fair was officially opened by the Guest of Honour, Hon. Roza Fatch Mbilizi, MP, Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Water Development, who emphasised the importance of innovation, value addition, private sector participation and the involvement of women and youth in transforming Malawi’s agriculture sector.
In line with the Fair’s theme, CRA is showcasing public services it provides in regulating and promoting the cannabis industry, including the issuance of licences, provision of extension services, facilitating market linkages, enforcement and compliance services, among others.
CRA is accompanied by some of its licensees, including Nexgen Medical Limited, which operates in Mulanje and Blantyre and Kamphulu Cooperative from Kasungu.
CRA is also showcasing the broad categories of decriminalised medicinal cannabis (THC) and industrial hemp (CBD), together with locally processed semi-finished and finished products. The exhibition highlights the potential of innovation, value addition and market linkages in supporting the growth and development of Malawi’s cannabis industry.
