The CRA Research & Extension and Inspection Departments are currently conducting on-spot training sessions on Good Agricultural and Collection Practices (GACP), mainly on post-harvest management on cannabis and hemp for licensed entities across the country.
Some of the entities visited so far include Vasbyt Farming Business in Nkhoma, The Shed Ltd in Lilongwe, Kaphulu Cooperative in Kasungu and Auroblom Ltd in Salima.
The training team has been accompanied by industry experts from Sigelege Farms Ltd, who are sharing valuable knowledge, practical skills and industry experience with farmers and operators.
Through these engagements, CRA aims to strengthen compliance with GACP standards, improve cultivation practices and support the production of high-quality medicinal cannabis and industrial hemp.
CRA is therefore appealing to all unlicensed entities and farmers to organise themselves and obtain the necessary licences in order to benefit from such training opportunities and achieve high yields and quality production.
