Law enforcement Sensitisation on the Cannabis Regulation act No.6 of 2020

Law Enforcement Officers Sensitised on Legal Cannabis! The Acting Director General, Ms. Fanny Namonde, and the CRA management team recently held meetings with District Police Officers, including Drug Enforcement, CID, Prosecution and General Duties officers from 24 Police Stations, as Phase 1 of the law enforcement sensitisation exercise. The aim was to clarify the legal cannabis framework under the Cannabis Regulation Act, reduce disruptions to licensed operators, strengthen enforcement against illegal cannabis activities while protecting legitimate businesses, and enhance collaboration with law enforcement officers on sensitisation efforts for interested communities wishing to join the legal cannabis value chain. These sessions also focused on improving coordination between agencies at the district level, ensuring a safer and more compliant cannabis industry that benefits communities and the economy. Together, we’re building a thriving and responsible cannabis sector! 🌿 #CannabisRegulation #LawEnforcement #SafeIndustry #Collaboration
